Wish list and Fund Raisers
2008, just like 2007 has been a tough year so far (we have been to the vet more times than we can count). We think that it doesn't hurt to ask for animals who can't speak for themselves. People have been amazingly generous.
| Your donations help with vet bills, dog food, warm (cool) housing, medicine, more. Thank you. | ![]() Patrick - Still here. He recently had surgery to remove a cist, but is fully recovered. |
Stuff we could especially use:
• dry dog food- Pedigree (small kibble), Purina One puppy and performance or Purina Dog Chow. We have lost our source for donated food - so this is our top priority right now.
• old washable blankets - always! Thank you to everyone who gave us blankets - the dogs love them.
• igloo dog houses - large
• wire dog cages (extra large with flat pans). Great Dane size is best.
• chain link kennels - 6 foot
• cedar shavings for the dog houses. Most of the dogs stay inside at night and in bad weather, but they all have dog houses outside too.
• Kuranda dog beds (our dogs love these beds)
| We use Patented Kuranda Dog Beds because they are durable, chew proof and easy to clean. If you would like to donate a bed to us, click here. |
• Volunteers to help with walking dogs, kennel chores, and general handyman/woman tasks. Weekends only.
• Donations: Our Paypal account allows you to online donations.
Non Profit status:
Update 7-29-08. We are officially recognized as an non-profit by the state of North Carolina. We sent the paperwork to the IRS on July 24th to apply for our 501(c)(3) (non-profit) status. Wish us luck!
We can assure you that we spend far more on the animals than we ever recover from the adoption donations. Every resource goes to the animals (mostly for vet bills and dog food).
