Dogs Hope generally has one or two small dogs available for adoption on a regular basis.
Right now we have Cookie, Tina Fay and Alfie. Tina Fay is really small 4.5 pounds (they are all rat terrier types - white with tri markings). Very sweet, entertaining and lively but not hyperactive. They were saved from euthanasia at a local municipal animal shelter. We make sure that they are healthy and happy before they are ready for adoption.
Small dogs can be wonderful companions for older people or adults who live in smaller homes. They are generally not recommended as children's pets. We place our small dogs the same way we do our large ones - custom matching for the best situation for both dogs and adopters.
